Zinfandel 1997 - The 1997 estate Zinfandel is a Bordeaux style Zinfandel with a deceptive 16.4% alcohol backbone, gloved in a velvety cloak of blackberries, raspberries, and toasted with a hint of the volcanic rocky soils of the the eastern Oakville hills. I try to produce wines that fully express their address. That is to say that I do not force a wine into something that it doesn't want to be. The key to making good wines with this technique is to find an address you like first!
