Russell Joy and Brian RobertsSix church-going fellows, influenced by an orchestra's cellos, heard music in their ears as they swirled their new Syrah and said "Cheers!" They hoped for just clean, decent wines as they discovered these Sonoma Mt vines. But at the completion of fermentation, the six toasted their creation and entered exaltation. It was a celebration.
2001 Syrah
Mt. Sonoma appellation Syrah. This wine has intense fruit from this young hillside vineyard, aged in one new and one 4+ year old 10 gallon barrels. Seems to have added the right amount of oak to the flavors.
