Scavenger Red (Chris Conway)

2001 Syrah – George Unti’s Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley, Healdsburg. The grapes for this wine weren’t scavenged, nor did they proverbially fall into our laps. My wife begged for them! Picture perfect from the vines, it was almost a shame to crush them. This Syrah has gobs of fruit and it is meant to be consumed early and with gusto!
